Quick Fields Agent - MMC could not create the snap-in

I have installed the Quick Fields Agent 8.3 administration console on my Windows 7 32-bit PC. When I try to run the QF Admin console, a MMC window opens and I get a message of "MMC could not create the snap-in."

If I try to open a standard MMC window and add the quick fields agent console to the console root as an add-in, it does not appear in the list.

I didn't have this problem with my Windows XP machine.

What can I do?

This is usually caused by .Net installation issues. What versions of .Net do you have installed?

We have a customer that is having this same issue - brand new Windows 7 box solely for use with QF 9 and the Agent. QF 9 runs fine, but the Agent will not and errors out with the above mentioned error message. The .Net version is 4 - should there be another version of .Net installed as well??

Please disregard - was able to get this going by loading .Net 3.5
