What is the best practice for upgrading Laserfiche 8.2 to Avante?

 We have the following environment:

2005 SQL server version 9.00.4035.00

W2K8 R2 SP1 server hosting Laserfiche version 8.2.1.672

We will be upgrading Laserfiche 8.x to Avante.

If you're not upgrading the software version, it would be just a license change on the Laserfiche Server and then converting your users to named users.

Another question:

 

Would it be best to upgrade our Laserfiche standard Server with QF-ScanConnect to version 9 then change to the Avante license?
