Question

Pass form information from one Laserfiche Form to another Laserfiche Form

asked on January 30, 2014

I'm looking to create a link in an existing form(Form 1) that will, once clicked, open another Form (form 2) with fields pre-populated with information from Form 1.

Example:

County permitting office requires that all contractors be registered with the county before they are able to apply for a building permit.  I have a form (Form 1) for the contractor application and on this form I am assigning each person a 'Contractor Number.'  I'm looking to pass the 'Contractor Number' from Form 1, place it into a hyperlink within Form 1 that will open Form 2 (permit application) with the 'Contractor Field' pre-populated.  I'm hoping to do this with the URL?Variable=Value but when I tried that,  it did not work how I expected it to.

Thank you in advance.

Nate

See this question for information about how to pass field values into a form via URL parameters.

With a little bit of Javascript you can constantly change a URL in a custom HTML field to have whatever the current values are that you want to pass to the next form inside another process.
