Question

snapshot scale to fit

asked on November 21, 2013

Customer takes a screenshot from a pdf document that is zoomed in at 198%. He puts that screenshot into an Outlook email to someone. When email comes back to him, he Snapshots email but in LF, the image is cutoff. Image is cutoff even when he previews it before it gets Snapshot-ed. He believes that Snapshot should scale to fit the image.. I can't find any way to do this. Is this possible or is his option to make the screenshot smaller and/or change page size and orientation in Snapshot?

Hi Valerie,

This is something that's usually handled by the application rather than the printer.  Microsoft has acknowledged that this is an issue with their more recent versions of Outlook and have issued a KB article with some options for working around it.  I'd recommend checking that out to see if any of the suggested workarounds will suit your customer.

Snapshot is a virtual printer. It is going to act as if the document was printed and then scanned into Laserfiche.

If you are saying that the user sees it as being cut off before they use snapshot, then they need to fix that in order to have it scaled/fitting properly.

Might have some options when telling it to print to Snapshot that will set how it will grab the page
