Question

Strange licensing activity

asked on September 10

We run 4 servers.  One for all our development applications, one for the database, one for forms, and one for the repositories and workflow.  Our license is good for another 53 days and it shows as such in LFDS.

Yesterday evening at 6:43pm we got warnings on the Content Repository --> Admin that our Laserfiche repo server license would expire on 11/2/26 and then an informational message immediately after that says this:  The Laserfiche Content Repository service has successfully reloaded license data. After that, everything worked as normal aside from access to the repositories themselves and the weblink that points to one of them.  No errors are being logged when attempts to access the repos are made.

Restarting the repository service may resolve this issue once we open for the day and our IT director does that, but what would have caused it?

November 2, 2026 is 53 days away from Sept 10. The Laserfiche Server periodically polls LFDS for an updated license and reloads it. The messages is informational and no service restart should be needed.

What did you see when attempting to access the repositories?

Thank you, Miruna.  All was well after a restart of the repository service.
