Question

XMLEndpointUtility Signature Method for SSO Token SHA256 Message

asked on May 13

When configuring the XMLEndpointUtility.exe (Laserfiche Directory Server Configuration Utility) and you set the "Signature method for SSO token" field to SHA256 it gives a message next to it that says, "To use SHA256, please upgrade the Laserfiche Repository Server to the latest version.".

While I appreciate the message, could it be updated to say what specific version or higher you need to be on? Could someone also reply to this post which version that is?

Yes, 12.0.2.343 is high enough. You can test this with Web Client easily.

1. Choose SHA256

2. Click Save

3. Open Web Client https://{hostname}/laserfiche

4. Login through LF Directory Server

If the login finished fine, then you have supported Laserfiche Server.

If not, just revert back to SHA1 for now.

It's always the latest wink

12.0.3.423 is the minimum version.

I know this isn't the latest version, but is 12.0.2.343 high enough? The reason I'm asking is because that is the version we are currently using and we are running LFDS version 12.0.2510.261, both are from the 2025 Fall release so I am guessing that since they were both released at the same time that it would be high enough.
