We have a SnapShot user who began having issues printing jpg's and tif's into Laserfiche. The image would be displayed in the default image viewer (Microsoft Photos) on the pc, then the user would try to print from that viewer into Laserfiche using the SnapShot virtual printer. The SnapShot window would never come up.
I went through all the posts regarding SnapShot and printing and we tried most of the suggested troubleshooting steps to no avail. She still could not print jpgs or tifs into Laserfiche using SnapShot.
She then tried opening up the images in a different image viewer app (not the default image viewer in windows). For example, she was able to view a jpg file in Adobe, and a tif in Snip N Sketch. She could print successfully, using SnapShot, into Laserfiche, from both of those applications.
Hoping this will help others having the same issue. Looking forward to any comments that shed more light on why this option works, and what the holdup could be between the default image viewer and SnapShot. (maybe a default printer setting in that app?)
Note: She needed to print into Laserfiche using SnapShot as it allowed her to associate metadata to the image, and once in Laserfiche, kicked off a Workflow that automatically named, filed and sent an email.
A process that had been working for years prior.
Hope this is helpful. Something to try before getting too deep into some of the other troubleshooting options listed in previous posts (not that they are not needed - this could just provide at least a workaround that gets someone back in business while more research is done).
