Request for Update Server URL – Laserfiche 12 (Offline Environment)

asked on February 18

We currently have Laserfiche 12 installed on a server that has been isolated from the internet since May 2025. We are planning to update the installation to the latest available version of Laserfiche 12.

Due to internal security policies, our security team can allow only temporary and restricted internet access during the update process. This access must be limited to specific URLs.

Could anyone (including Laserfiche staff) please confirm:

  • The exact update server URL(s) required to download and apply the latest Laserfiche 12 updates

  • Any additional domains, endpoints, or ports that must be whitelisted

  • Whether there is a fully offline update package available, and the recommended process for performing an offline upgrade

We want to ensure we provide our security team with precise information before requesting temporary access.

Thank you in advance for your guidance.

Hi Taif,

There’s a pending public documentation update with these instructions that isn’t published yet. Our apologies for the trouble. Instructions follow:

Here are the steps to install and launch the latest Installer in an offline machine:

  • Download the Installer compressed package from Support Site in an online machine. Copy the package to the offline machine, extract it and run "Autorun.exe" to install the Installer.
  • Download the latest plugins from an online machine and copy to the offline machine.
  • Launch the Installer in the offline machine. Click "Settings" icon to set it to the offline mode.
  • If you do not want to let the Installer in offline machine detect updates automatically, you can add the "-skip-update" parameter when launching the Installer from its shortcut.

The endpoints required to download Laserfiche software are listed in the Settings area of the Laserfiche Installer, shown below:

To perform an installation/update in a fully offline environment:

  1. From a Laserfiche Installer with access to the internet endpoints listed above, download the installation packages for the components you want. Selecting the "download" arrow in the top right of the Laserfiche Installer will open the Download interface where you can select specific components. Note that the downloaded packages are self-extracting executables (.exe) the Installer unpacks and parses - you don't directly run them to install.

  2. Copy the package exe files to the offline server(s) hosting those Laserfiche components.
  3. Install the Laserfiche Installer on the offline server(s) as described in the first section of this post and run it.
  4. Select the "More" menu option (three vertical dots) in the upper right and select "Install from local", which will launch a file browser.
  5. Navigate to where you copied the .exe package files and select them to install the software.

Hope that helps and let us know if anything is still unclear!

-Sam

The URLs are listed in the installer itself under Settings.
