Question

Repository site cannot be reached (After upgrade to LF12)

asked on January 30

Hi,

We recently ugraded from LF11 to LF12 and after a few issues managed to get it seutup and working.

One final issue we have not been able to resolve is the access to teh repository for users.

When you first try and log in the repositoy, it gives an error - site cannot be reached. We noticed that the URL contains the server name, rather than website URL. If you manually update that and replace the SERVERNAME with website.com' it works fine - and seems to save in the cache and work for a few days.

Eventually it will revert back to the server name and need a manual update - It doesnt matter if the website typed in (or saved to bookmarks) contains the webdomain, it seems to change every few days when first loading to the server name.

We assume its a setting somewhere that isnt setup correctly, but not sure where to start and we dont wantt o get into issues after having a few problems when upgrading.

LFDSSTS is the login url for LFDS, so it looks like it's the login flow that isn't working.I would guess that you missed updating the hostname for LFDS in the repository configuration settings. The reason this is intermittent is that the user only needs to be redirected if they don't have a valid session.

Hi Brian, thanks for the reply.

I am guessing it could be this setting in the laserfiche repository configuration (laserfiche/configuration/configuration.aspx)?

The value in our setting is the server name, rather than domain website here.

Unless I am looking in the wrong place.

Thanks,

Yes, the url here should use the fully-qualified domain name of the LFDS server.
