Unattended Install of Laserfiche 12 desktop client, with Laserfiche 11 already installed

asked on September 22

Good Morning,

Looking for a way to install Laserfiche 12 desktop client on machines that have Laserfiche 11 installed currently. We use unattended installation through SCCM/Configuration Manager. We did testing, and are able to get Laserfiche 12 to install fine, but noticed that Laserfiche 11 components do not get uninstalled during the process. Not sure if this tied to the installer change with 12?

Has anyone developed a powershell script to do this?

I was able to build a powershell script that goes through and uninstalls all of the Laserfiche 11 components, then installs the LF12 pre-reqs, then the LF12 components. It was a bit of a tricky one, but has tested well for us. Anyone who could use it, feel free to reach out.

Hi Eric,

I'd be interested to see how you've done this if you wouldn't mind sharing the PowerShell script you've used?

Cheers!

I would be interested in this script as well if you're sharing.

Which components specifically? WebTools Agent, Scanning, Office and OCR are expected to remain as there are no v12 equivalents yet.

Specifically ones causing issues are the 11 Client and Snapshot
