Suggested "Repository Reports"

asked on July 16 Show version history

I’ve inherited a repository and am working on performing a security audit on each folder. My goal is to clearly understand who has access to which folders for security purposes.

When I use Show Security, I can see the groups and permissions applied, but I’m having trouble identifying what each group is, why it’s assigned, and whether it’s still needed. I’d like to remove any duplicate or obsolete groups, but I need better visibility to do so.

The available reports aren’t helping—User Security Reports don’t match what I see under Show Security.

Is there a way to generate:

  • A report listing all folders a group has access to and the specific rights applied?

  • A report showing all users and groups with access to the repository, along with their permissions?

  • A report identifying all workflows and business processes tied to repository folders?

I need a clear view of how access is structured so I can clean up and streamline the repository’s security settings.

I use a customized version of the workflow mentioned as a solution here, and it works very well.
