Hi All! We recently attempted to update our Weblink 9 Version to Weblink 10 in the public portal. We ran into an issue that we're hoping someone else has experienced and solved! We require the Grid for our Search Results (rather than the other view), so we implemented that again in the Weblink Designer during the attempted upgrade.
The issue we encountered (causing us to rollback) was that the Grid Search Results seem to only display a few default fields, such as Name, Date, Pages, etc. They did not include any of the template metadata for the search results. In our Public Weblink (V9), the Grid Search Results show the associated template fields/values by default when they return the files. We expected the same default behavior in V10 Public Weblink, but do not see a way to recreate that. What's strange to us is that the other view (which we do not want to use), automatically returns the associated fields and values for the template search.
Does anyone know how we can get the Grid Search Results to automatically return the Template metadata for the files searched? (i.e. the associated fields and values related to the search)
Is this custom coding that we have to do, or does Weblink 10 (public portal) have an easier way to implement this for search results in the GridView vs. the other view?
We need the metadata to display in search results (grid view) so people know which files to open. (we use generic file names that don't describe the files)
