Laserfiche Self-Hosted Version 12 Administration Installation and Upgrades

Hello All,

Our business process currently revolves around using the windows Laserfiche client to open up documents with their native windows programs, such as PDFs with Adobe Acrobat. With that being said is there any word on continued support for the windows client such as version 12? Should we start investing time in changing our process?

Is there an alternative solution that may allow us to use the web version to open native applications (we have tried the office plugins but they are not great, and that is limited to microsoft products)

This is all on premise (Self-Hosted)LF install.

The "Client Suite" which includes the Laserfiche Windows/Desktop Client will be coming to Laserfiche 12, though not in the initial November 2024 release. It's currently targeted for the "second wave" Laserfiche 12 release in Spring 2025.

Laserfiche Client Suite 11 applications such as Laserfiche Windows/Desktop Client, Scanning, Snapshot, Microsoft Office Integration, etc. will continue to work with associated Laserfiche 12 server applications.

The Windows Client will be included for Laserfiche v12. There have been features added in previous versions of the Web Client though that were not included in the Windows Client, and I would imagine the same will be true for the version 12.
