Question

API v2 for Self-Hosted

asked on July 31, 2024

Good Day All,

I know that at Empower Laserfiche announced that V2 of the API would be coming to self-hosted, but they did not have any ETA.

Has any of the hive mind here happen to hear any update on a possible release date?

Thanks so much!

Hi Parrish,

I don't have an official ETA right now, but it is the main focus and next release for the Integrations product area.  As the schedule firms up I'll be sure to post an update.

Cheers,

Andrew

Hi Parrish,

We know that customers are eagerly awaiting the V2 release for self-hosted and we are working towards a Q1 release in 2025, if all goes to plan.

Thanks, Blake!

Is there an approximate release date for the 2025 spring release?

Hi Zac, v2 is slated for release later in the year.  We'll be sure to announce when it's released via all the normal channels.

It was mentioned during Empower this year that they are aiming for the October 2025 release... but all releases are "tentative" as the timeline they showed us is a working document, and is subject to things being moved

Thanks so much Eric! Sad to hear it is so far out, but that is the way of the software world lol.

Hi,

Now that it's October is there any update on this?  Is it going to be included in the October release?

Last I saw it had been moved back to Spring 2026.

Hello Laserfiche Team,

We are currently working on an integration using the Laserfiche Self-Hosted API (V1). One of our requirements is the ability to import files larger than the current simple import limit of 100 MB.

We were hoping that the Self-Hosted V2 API would support chunked (multipart) uploads similar to the Laserfiche Cloud API. Could you please confirm if chunked upload functionality is planned for a future Self-Hosted release?

If chunked uploads are not on the roadmap, are there any plans to increase the file size limit for simple imports?

Additionally, could you recommend any supported approaches or best practices for importing files larger than 100 MB, particularly within a Salesforce integration?

Thank you for your assistance.

I posted this question to incorrect location. I should have posted this question in Repository API Server Version 2 Now Available in Self-Hosted - Laserfiche Answers discussion. Please ignore at this location because I will post at the correct location.
