Lock Out Users for Upgrade or Maintenance

I am preparing to upgrade our Laserfiche installations.  I haven't found any information on the preferred method of locking out the user community during the upgrade process.  Does anybody have information on the steps to take to restrict access to the repositories, forms, and workflows.

My initial plan (in short) is...

  1. Lock the repositories from the LF admin console
  2. Stop the services from the Workflow admin console
  3. Stop the website from IIS

 

I don't think I have anything else that might interfere with the upgrade.

Stop services on the server(s) like LFForms Routing Service, LFServer Service, and LFWorkflow service.

I also recommend taking backups of your databases just before the upgrade (just in case).
