Hi, I can confirm that the path is the same value as you have highlighted.  However when checking the actual disk location the wwwroot folder did not exist (I think our internal VM build process removes the default IIS site & this folder), re-creating the folder allows the install to go through.

Thanks for the pointers/help.

Hi, Barry,

The error code 2343 indicates an empty path during installation. I think installation log is needed to find out the empty path. You can get installation log by running installation with steps:

1. Run command "{AutorunRootDirectory}\en\AuditTrail\SetupLf.exe -log c:\temp\logs"

2. Follow the setup wizard. The wizard is expected to fail with the same error code 2343.

3. The path to installation log is c:\temp\logs\lfaudit-x64_en.msi.log and c:\temp\logs\LFAuditChartLib-x64_en.msi.log

You may contact your solution provider to open a case with Tech Support if it is inappropriate to attach the logs here.

I see 'DEBUG: Error 2343:  Specified path is empty.' at line 1226 in the attached log file.  Installer is run with Default settings, install path, local system account, both Default Web Site and dedicated site have been tried, bypassing the cert and specifying a cert file have also been tried.

Could you check if the following IIS registry entry is correctly set?

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\InetStp]

"PathWWWRoot"

The registry looks like the following by default:

I get the same error code 2343 installing Audit Trail with this registry entry manually removed.
