Laserfiche Mobile and iPhone XR Face Recognition Kicks User Out after Mobile Update

asked on May 5, 2023

We have our Public Works department set up to use Laserfiche Mobile for their Work Order process.

Recently one of the employees had trouble getting into Forms from LF Mobile after a LF Mobile Update.  He would log in, and it would immediately kick him out, back to the Home screen.

This device had previously been set up to use face recognition for logging in.

After the update installed, when he was prompted to use facial recognition he had selected "Yes".

After reading through some different posts on LF Answers, it seemed that uninstalling the LF Mobile app and reinstalling from the app store was worth a try.

We did that, and were able to log in, however when prompted if he wanted to use Facial Recognition, this time we had him say no.

He was able to get in.

I know this is very general information, but wanted to share it in case it helps anyone, also would like to see any recommendations or similar experiences.

Thanks,

Christine

We had to roll back the iOS mobile app to the version released in February 2023 due to the high severity login bug. We're currently investigating the issue and we'll update the app again once we have a fix.

We are having the issue again after a recent update.  Please roll back if possible.

Hey Brianna,

Thanks for your reply.  Yes, it is referencing the new post.  I came across my previous post, and it seemed to be similar to what happened before.

We are restarting our DMZ server tonight to see if that helps.

Thanks,

Christine
