If someone is new to Laserfiche, and they are looking for the Windows Client. The steps to install this are so convoluted that no one has a chance to figure it out and even writing what to do is almost impossible.
They have to get their Account Name and Key, then register a Support Account, then reach out to us to allow downloads, then know to download only the package called Laserfiche 11, extract and search through the huge list of server apps to find the Windows Client installer. Next time they need to upgrade, they have to do this entire deal again.
These people already have a Cloud user account, why can't they just click the Rubix Cube menu and choose Install Local Client? It would then download an executable that opens the Wizard? This is not too far fetched, no one can figure this out without a ton of hand holding.
If someone simply submits a ticket asking how to uplaod a folder, I have to write a whole page of instructions on what to do, where I could just say choose install local client from the main menu instead. It is getting difficult to support this.
