Yes, I did get the installer from that location, and even made sure it was update 2 a few times.

We had 10.3.0.108 installed on this computer before, although I can't verify that because 11 is already mostly installed.  The installer completes, but I get the above error message when you try to run QF for the first time and it goes back into the installer.

Thanks for your information. The issue seems that there is a corrupted installation and Quick Fields tries to automatically repair itself but get errors during repair. 

The repair error can be recreated and has been reported as Bug 395831.

While I couldn't recreate the corrupted installation by upgrading from 10.3, which happened in the first place. Could you try uninstall Quick Fields completely then install it again as workaround?

Hi Ziyan,

I've tried uninstalling Quick Fields a few times now and re-installing, with no change.  I even cleaned out all of the related files/folders from the Program Files and ProgramData folders just in case... no change.

Sorry to hear that. As I couldn't recreate the issue, more logs are needed for further troubleshooting. Could you please open up support case with your VAR and provide uninstall log, install log and process monitor log on opening QF11?

• To get uninstall/install log
  • Open command prompt, and run <QFInstallerPath>\QF\SetupLf.exe -log <Directory>
  • Go through the wizard to uninstall/install
  • Gather logs under the directory
• To get process monitor log
  • Download Process Monitor from SysInternals (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/procmon)
  • Run procmon.exe to capture trace
  • Open QF11 to reproduce issue
  • Stop capturing then save trace to file
