Standalone Installation of Snapshot driver

asked on May 17, 2022

Hi,

I am trying to do an unattended install of Laserfiche Snapshot 11 only without Full Windows Client install.  Before I do the unattended install, I am only using the lfsnapshot-x64_en.msi file in WindowsClient installation folder to run the installation.   I have installed all the prerequisite for the Snapshot.  However, when I run this exculpable file, it starts and continue through the installation and at the end, the installer is roiling back the installation.

When I run the full setupLf.exe to install, the installation works fine.

Does anyone know if I can run lfsnapshot-x64_en.msi as a standalone installation? or Snapshot needs to be installed from the setupLf.exe executable.

Hi Ajanthan,

I recommend doing the unattended install of Snapshot using SetupLf.exe and its unattended installation parameters. The example below installs only Snapshot because of the "LFSSADDLOCAL=ALL" parameter.

"D:\Install\Client\SetupLF.exe" -silent -log "C:\Logs\SnapshotInstall" LFSSADDLOCAL=ALL

If it fails for any reason, you can check the log in the log directory and it should have some details on why.

I had to use the same way to deploy via SCCM.  Snapshot shared printer will not seem to install from the msi.
