Hi Laurent,
They are compatible. While I'm unsure if we've tested against "Office LTSC 2021" specifically, we do test against (and use ourselves) the latest Office 365 builds of Word, Excel, etc. which are to the best of my knowledge near-identical builds.
For example, per Update history for Office LTSC 2021 and Office 2021, the February 16, 2022 update for retail Office 2021 is Version 2201 (Build 14827.20198). My own personal Office 365 installation is also Version 2201. Office LTSC 2021 appears frozen at Version 2108.
I'm not aware of any reports of any version of Office 2021 having compatibility issues with the Laserfiche Office Integration.
Hi Sam,
Sorry for piggy backing on this topic, but is the latest LF Office Integration version compatible with O365 Click-to-Run versions? I couldn't find anything on Answers or the help files that answered this specifically.
Edit: Other folks internally have confirmed that we've been running Click-to-Run versions of Office for ages now and the Laserfiche Office plugin works fine.
In this article, Microsoft says:
Click-to-Run is the technology used to install Microsoft 365 subscription and most versions of Office 2013 and newer. Windows Installer technology (MSI) was used to install the volume license editions of older versions of Office 2016 and older, such as Microsoft Office Professional Plus and Microsoft Office Standard.
Which I read as the Click-to-Run version being the default for going on a decade now. Can't imagine there being any fundamental compatibility issues we haven't addressed since then.
See also this reddit post which says that since Office 2019 there is only a Click-to-Run installer.
