DCC 11-"Unable to connect to the remote server" Error when adding worker machine

asked on December 23, 2021

Hello,

We have upgraded a customer to LF11 and installed DCC 11 to take advantage of the "Schedule PDF Page Generation" activity in WF that is now actionable with WF/DCC 11.

When I go to add the worker machine I get a bunch of the following errors in the DCC Event Viewer in the Web Admin Console

"There was no endpoint listening at http://customer.server.FQDN:8108/Laserfiche/DistributedProcessing/INodeMetaData that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action"

"Unable to connect to the remote server"

"No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it Customer's  Server IP:8108"

I am setting up the worker on the same machine as the Scheduler, which I believe is allowed.

The server is a 2 Core Processor VM so I meet the criteria for processors correct?

If I just use the DCC Scheduler and add no worker machine, the WF runs successfully but there is no Page Generation or OCR'ing done and I get the following error message in the DCC Event viewer:

"Context Message: Timeout for job that cannot be run has been exceded. Timeout: 1800000 milliseconds."

I posted this error in LF Answers (Post below) but have had no response.

Appreciate any feedback,

Jeff Curtis

Hi Jeff,

Are you by any chance running DCC under a non-default service identity?

Hello Sam,

If you mean the Service itself, we are running it as Local System.

Thanks,
