Hi All,
Firstly, is there a more up to date white paper on attributes? This is the only one I can find from 2012.
I'm specifically looking for how to set the columns for the web client, and it isn't mentioned at all in this white paper.
Thanks!

Hi Chris-
I just went through something with this attribute so I'll chime in. That [XmlColumnDisplay]Data attribute is for what columns the user will see. Seems to work for both Client and Web Access.
Just to be clear, the profile settings that can be used to switch between column profiles are in [XmlColumnProfiles]Data But from WA you can save that to groups directly so not sure you need to mess with attributes.
One thing to point out is that if you have a lot of display settings, it can get split up and span multiple attributes so you may have Data0, Data1, etc. We have display settings set to save by folder (that checkbox option only seems to be available in the Client but does work for Web Access, too). In this case, the main Display attribute basically says that the XML spans 5 additional attributes:

Thanks Justin,
Makes sense to have an online library rather than in a whitepaper ![]()
In the interest of completeness, the attributes for controlling column settings is:-
[XmlColumnDisplay]Data?
Cheers!
Sorry just to be clear, column settings in the web client....
