Can't see a new list item for a field in Quick Fields

We recently added a new list item to a field used in one of our Quick Fields sessions, but can't see the new item in Quick Fields.  I tried to remove it so I could re-add it, but I'm unable to do even that.  I'm sure this is something simple but I can't see what to do and help documentation doesn't cover it.

Does anyone know what to do?

If you haven't already, can you close and reopen Quick Fields?

For more context, Quick Fields typically syncs dropdown values (and other metadata changes made outside of Quick Fields) automatically when you open the Quick Fields session, running something called "session updater".
