Quickfields Session modification

asked on April 26, 2013 Show version history

Dear sirs I would like your help with the following:

I have running a Quickfields session for more than 5 years now, it is well configured and running fine, the thing is that now there are new values in a list field contained in the template used by the session.  Who can I modify the session in order to make it recognize this new value in the list field?  I will still ben using the same template for it.

By default, Quick Fields only checks with the Laserfiche server to make sure all the field definitions are current the first time a session is opened each day.  This is easy to fix though!  Go to the ‘Tools’ menu, choose ‘Options’, and then open the ‘Metadata Updater’ node.

I expect that you’ll have the following boxes checked:

-         Update Laserfiche metadata when a session is opened

-         Run only once a day per session

You’ll want to make sure that the first option remains selected, while deselecting the ‘Run only once a day per session’ option.  This will cause Quick Fields to check your field definitions every time you open up your session.  After making the appropriate Metadata Updater selection options and exiting the Options dialog, close out of Quick Fields.  Then re-open Quick Fields and load your session to run the Metadata Updater automatically and grab the latest version of your list field.
