Web client PDF display issue after recent web browser updates

asked on July 29, 2021

Hello,

I received a report that PDFs are no longer displaying properly in Laserfiche web client 10.4.2 after recent Firefox (v90) and Chrome (v92) updates.

PDFs with scanned text (when it includes the courier font - even an empty text field that is set to "courier") display as transparent text in the viewer so it looks like a blank page. If the PDF is opened in Adobe Reader or directly in Firefox or Chrome it displays correctly.

On a different computer I have Firefox v89 and Chrome v91, so I was able to confirm the PDFs displayed properly before the updates.

Anyone encountered this issue?

Thanks in advance,
Howard

Hi, Howard,

Just went through the same thing.  This may provide some help:

Although our VAR wrote up the description a bit differently, our original issue was PDF's were displaying as blank pages.   It was during our troubleshooting that the mozchunedarraybuffer-is-not-a-valid-enum message came up.

Regards,
