Question

Logo of document is upside down and seen triple

asked on July 29, 2021

When I move PDF documents into the web client, blue logos will appear upside down and I can see the logo three times. If I move the same PDF document on the desktop client I appears totally fine. The other thing that I notices is that if I download the PDF document in the web client as an electronic file the logo appears fine.

I am researching and testing this for months now and don't have an answer. It is holding me up from importing more documents.

Is this a setting issue?

On the import screen, under advanced, there is an option to attempt to generate pages. This will create a combo doc where you can view either the native PDF or the generated pages. The generated pages are what is malforming your logo. Right click and select Open Electronic Document to view the actual PDF that you uploaded.

Thank you so much. I tried couple documents where I noticed that the logo was disarranged. But when do I know that I have to uncheck "generate pages"?

Hi Sandy,

It sounds like you're running into a PDF page generation issue potentially caused by a Web Client issue we've recently fixed.

If you're running Web Client 10.4.2, please try deploying the patches listed here in order: https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/190392/mozchunkedarraybuffer-is-not-a-valid-enum#190395

Applying those patches recently fixed a PDF-related issue for another user.

If you're not running Web Client 10.4.2 (or 11.0), I would try upgrading to the latest (which will include the patches) and see if the issue goes away.

As Chad mentioned, you can also simply not generate TIFF pages from the PDF. You can either do this in the Import dialog each time, or change your default settings in the Option menu (click your username in the upper right to access) by unchecking the relevant settings under New Documents like so:
