Unable to get information for machine

Laserfiche Administration Directory Server Licensing License Manager

When trying to register a new machine and Look up the Host ID I get this error "Unable to get information for machine (machine#here)"  

 

Can someone help me understand this?  This machine is found with Lansweeper and is an active Windows machine  with Laserfiche installed.

Hi Mia,

I take it you are looking up a machine other than the local LFDS machine, correct?

One workaround is to use the "showhwfp.exe" utility bundled with LFDS in "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Directory Server". You can copy the utility onto the target machine to look up the Host ID and copy it over to LFDS.
