Weekly Tasks Update

Can periodic notifications be set up for anyone with outstanding tasks in their Forms Inbox? I would not want it to be form specific, just any outstanding task.

So, basically, once a week, I would get one notification saying I have outstanding items.

Yes, in the Forms Config page, go to the Email Templates tab and look for "Recurring Notifications". You can enable recurring notifications to get a digest of each user's open tasks set to send daily or on a specific day of the week.

No, we don't have that request planned at this time.

We would definitely prefer to have the recurring notifications be process-specific. Some of our users for a few selected processes can have hundreds of open tasks. They don't want or need to hear about that every week.

Older thread, but I'd like to add my voice to the "process-specific" request. We have too many different processes spread across different subsidiary companies for this to work as a system-wide setting. Some processes it's normal to have a task take a few weeks to finish up, while others should be reminded daily. And the fact that unclaimed team tasks show up also makes it trickier to work with. Some helpful variations I can think of would be:

  • Process-specific.
  • Task-specific, so it's reminders only for a given task, but that way it's a summary rather than reminders for each individual instance.
  • Team-based, so send teams a summary of all their open tasks.
