Question

Laserfiche 11 Test System

asked on March 5, 2021

I was going to jump in and install a test server for LF11 but when I got to the Licensing options it looks like my LFDS 10.4.5 cannot generate a license for LF11?

Is there a way to get this test server setup with my current LFDS or will I need to upgrade my LFDS to 11 in order to generate new licenses?

This is correct. Basically, which version of a module you can generate a license for through LFDS or your installation packages is not based on the version of LFDS, but is based on the rules defined in the primary license file itself. Since v11 just came out, your existing primary license file will presumably not have that information yet. Simply renewing it through LFDS or the installation packages should suffice.

Hi Craig,

LFDS 10.4.5 should not have problems generating version 11 app licenses. You'll likely just need to renew your primary license to be able to start generating version 11 app licenses.

Updating my primary license in LFDS enabled me to be able to install Laserfiche 11
