Question

Reactivation was not successful: An error occurred while making the HTTP request

asked on February 23, 2021

Getting the following error while trying to renew master license.

Reactivation was not successful: An error occurred while making the HTTP request to https://activation.laserfiche.com/IActivationService.svc. This could be due to the fact that the server certificate is not configured properly with HTTP.SYS in the HTTPS case. This could also be caused by a mismatch of the security binding between the client and the server. (LFDS10)(LMO0)

Hi, Manuel, our records show "FAIL - ActivationKeyMaxActivationsReachedException", so it looks like your key was already activated on a different machine (or this machine has had hardware updates that changed its hardware fingerprint significantly).

You are going to have to deactivate the original machine first. If you don't have the hardware fingerprint and host ID for it anymore, your solution provider can obtain that information from Tech Support.

Thank you Miruna, we did have to rebuild the VM.

We just ran into this issue on a reinstallation of the Directory Server, first time for the site. We had done a partial installation, then uninstalled. On activation, we are getting the same message.

The Activations page shows an activation available for this site.

I am getting this same exact error while trying to renew our Master license.  We have checked our Certificate, and it seems correct.  How can I find out if it is the same issue as above? Thank you

What version of Laserfiche Directory Server are you using?
