We just renewed our Master License and some of our other licenses stopped working. After working with support, we found that the hardware fingerprint had changed on those machines. Might not be connected; however, our server administrators have requested to that see what could cause a fingerprint to change. For example, they added Snapshot based backups with CBT (Change Block Tracking). Would this affect the fingerprint. They claim the VM has not moved physical machines and no hardware updates have occurred in the time frame of the license failure. They would like to know what to monitor for so we are aware when a new license file will need to be generated to prevent service outages.
