Feature Request: Convert a Demo-kit LFDS site to a Production Site

Hi there,

I created a small test using my VAR Kit license. I now have a production license for it. I wasn't able to relicense the site with a production license. Support told me it wasn't possible, so I've had to re-created the license site.

Has anyone else had this issue before?

Would this be a useful feature for anyone else?

Hi Ben,

This is a matter of policy. The behavior you described is intended as the site GUID is meant to be unique for each customer/solution provider, and your VAR Kit license is strictly for demoing. If this test site is meant for a customer's environment, please contact your Laserfiche Territory Manager to request an evaluation license to build on. Upon purchase, we can convert the eval license to a perpetual one and you'll be able to keep the same site GUID.

Hi Ben,

Thanks for the suggestion. What's happening is that the site GUID of the new license does not match up with the site GUID in the LFDS database (which is set from the license that initially licensed the site). I've notified our licensing team that generating a license with a specific site GUID is something people are interested in.

We have same problem, it is nice to have such feature.
