Question

LF United-license limit notification

asked on March 18, 2020

Hello,

Is there a way to generate a notification, from the LF Admin Console, if a customer on United with 10 Read Only User, is hitting the limit of available licenses for use?

Appreciate the feedback,

Jeff Curtis

I could be wrong on this since I have never come across this issue, but it should spit out an error in the event viewer cause its a failed login. You can send out an email when that event is logged since it should be different than other failed login messages, however, upon looking into it, it seems like its a deprecated feature.

This link talks about it, but I have not verified that it works.

All this being said, there may be a better option to accomplish this, but since I rarely work with United I don't have another answer for you.

You should be able to do what you want with Windows Performance Monitor.  You can see how to set up counters and notifications in How to create performance counter alert and send email when the alert is triggered

Step-by-Step: How to Trigger an Email Alert from Windows Performance Monitor gives a complete walk through.
