Relicensing when moving to a new virtual server on a legacy system

asked on March 2, 2020

We are moving from an old host to a new host in a virtual environment.  We have installed a new computer and want to move Laserfiche to the new system.  We have old activation codes but need new ones.  We aren't planning to run parallel systems so we don't need a temporary license but could go to a new set of codes.

Most of the literature that I've seen applies to Rio or Avante and our system is an older legacy system.

Help!

Please don't open a support case and an Answers thread with the same question.

See KB1012301 for instructions on how to deactivate your key from the old system so it can be used on the new one.

Thanks for the link - it was very helpful.

As far as your other comments regarding the same question - I have no idea what you are talking about.  This isn't something we do everyday...….

Hi Mr Larry, this just happen to us. So, we upgraded from one machine to another. And had some issue with I think code 500 on the forms server. Come to find out the cause was the "Finger print" in the LF server had to be reset or redone. So just an FYI. Sorry I can't supply to much detail cause  our reseller techs fix it for us and just told us the issue.
