We have purchased 10 Participant Licenses to be used with Forms. We are running Avante. I am trying to get this configured and tested, but I am running into issues. I was told that in order for the Participant Licenses to work we had to install LFDS, which was done by our Laserfiche vendor. They also tried to assist with getting the new licenses synced but were unsuccessful.
I recently attended a few of the LDFS session at Empower and thought I had a good grasp of where I needed to be. I have even tried to follow along with one of the Virtual Labs, but I am getting stuck.
Here is where I'm at. LFDS is installed, I can see the number of available licenses. I have created an AD security group (LF_Participants) and added myself to said group. I have also created a Laserfiche user for testing purposes only. I have created a group in LFDS and add both the LF_Participants group and LF user. At this point I would like to enable SSO for users that will be logging into Laserfiche applications via a web browser. Within the Laserfiche configuration page I am instructed to turn on the Directory Server option and enter the Directory Server STS URL (https://servername/LFDSSTS. When I enter my server using the FDQN and click verify I get the following error.
The Laserfiche Directory Server's address does not match the value specified in the license
Our vendor and my predecessor setup our Laserfiche server so I am not very familiar with the license files. How can I update the license file?
I thought about skipping this step and continuing to give the Groups/Users access to the repository and forms. When access the repository management page I try to add the LFDS group I created. When I search for a Laserfiche group nothing shows up.
The forms user authentication has to be changed to used LFDS, but I don't see this option. Could this be due to the fact that the Forms version installed is 10.3.1 and LFDS is 10.4.2
Sorry for my rant...I'm just trying to figure out how to use these licenses that we purchased a few months back and start using Laserfiche throughout our organization.
