Upgrading Weblink From version 8

WebLink Version 10 How To Installation and Upgrades Web Customizations

Hello,

I will be doing an upgrade to Weblink to version 10.3 from version 8.2.

I need to make sure that the upgrade will not affect, logo, custom messages, or search forms.

And since i noticed difference in file structure, will it be enough to backup the webfiles?

Does any one have any input on the subject.

Hi Maher,

Backing up the web files directory might be helpful if you've customized the project files, but in order to preserve the configurations that you mentioned, you'll need to use the WebLink Settings Bundler. It's a utility that is installed with WebLink. You'll simply use the tool to export your current settings from 8.2 (note: export the files to somewhere outside of the install directory), then upgrade, then use the tool to import the settings to 10.2.
