[Request]: Disable autocomplete on location field in save to repository step

posted on January 21, 2020 Show version history

Pretty minor "bug" but one that's caused me a lot of headaches. When I open a save to repository service task in Forms, the location autocompletes with my domain\username. This has caused some processes to suspend if I don't notice it and delete it every time I open that service task.

I experienced this also and the culprit was a password manager,  LastPass, in my case.
Easy to configure LastPass to not autocomplete

What version are you using? We disabled auto-complete for the location field in Forms 10.4.1.

Good to know Jared, we are on Laserfiche Forms Professional Version 10.4.0.1256

The affected clients are all pre-10.4.1 installs so its great news that an upgrade will remove this issue.

Note:  I don't recall seeing this fix in the list of changes in 10.4.1 nor the release notes for 10.4.1, did I miss it or is it described in a different manner?

Forms now prevents Chrome from autofilling the location field in the Save to Repository service task with improper values. (154975)

Cool.  Apparently I did just miss it.  Thanks.

Seconded.

We have had several clients encounter this issue repeatedly and it is very easy to miss if you are making an unrelated change and clicking save only to find your process is suddenly broken.  Disabling autofill/autocomplete does appear to be a common issue/request that does not have a clear solution because there is no standards-compliant way to do it.
