Question

Office plugin keeps asking for install in Chrome

asked on December 10, 2019

We have users on Chrome for whom the Office plugin is loaded and turned on, but when opening a Word/Excel doc, they are asked to load the plugin.  Loading the plugin again does not correct the issue.

Is anyone else experiencing the same?  Using web client 10.3.1.98

Is it the same prompt discussed in this thread?

Miruna, No, in this case it's not the same.  I did see that post when researching the issue.

It's actually asking for the user to load the plugin.  (Our users don't have these rights so it ended up as a helpdesk ticket.)  This is second time this has happened and the solution has been to uninstall/reinstall Chrome then the plugin.  That's what our tech did to correct the issue.

Since more users here are going to Chrome or Firefox, I want to make sure that Laserfiche is supported in both browsers the same as in IE which is still our corporate standard.

Hello,

We have a customer who was just updated to 10.4.1 and saw this issue on 10.3.1 and still experiencing the same issue.

They confirmed they get the pop-up in IE, Chrome, and Firefox.  They are on the latest versions for all listed browsers.

Appreciate and any pointers,

Jeff Curtis
