Documentation for upgrade from Avante SQL express to RIO mssql

Hi to all,

 

One of our client has planned to which we will have to update their current Laserfiche Avante 10.1 sqlexpress installation to Rio 10.4 mssql full. Is there any step by step process that we have to follow? I am planning to follow these steps, just wanted to confirm.

 

  1. Install MSSQL full and update the databases of laserfiche
  2. Install LFDS
  3. Generate Licenses using master key
  4. Register applications
  5. Generate and replace lic files

Is thir Avante installation licensed for full SQL? If yes, then your steps will work. If not, then upgrade to Rio first, then upgrade SQL. That way, if anything goes wrong, you still have the working repository as a backup plan.
