Has anyone gotten this to work? I saw this question 5 years ago but no real answer.

thanks

Yes. Forms 10.4 works with works with Office 365. In the Email Settings the smtp server will be smtp.office365.com, check the Use a secure connection (SSL) when sending email, change the port to 587, use the email address you are sending from as the user name and the sender's email account, enter the password for the account, and enter your email account or another email account in which you have access in the validation, and click test.
Can you use this without a username/password and a DoNotReply type email that we can't actually log into?
All Office 365 accounts that I have had access to uses username and password authentication.
I am not sure about sending with groups rather than an email box.
If you are using a different email service, some of which do not require authentication, you will need the SMTP server information for that service rather than the Office 365 email service.
