Question

Users don't show in LFDS Account list

asked on October 18, 2019 Show version history

On occasion I run an Account Users list out of LFDS to square up the license count on the Overview page with the actively licensed users.

When I ran the Account Users list (and in looking at the Account page) it only shows 100 users, but I have 170 users showing licensed on the Overview page.  Why can't I see all my users in LFDS anymore?

Hi Chris,

This was resolved in LFDS 10.4.1, released in Q2 of 2019. So 10.4.1+ should correctly export all users.

There is a bug in 10.3.1 and higher of LFDS that is resolved in the upcoming release where it always shows 100 as the count on the user tab if there are more than 100 users.

If you go to the user list, is there a second page? The pagination is every 100 users, so that could be what's causing the confusion.

If you reserve user licenses as repository named users in a Laserfiche Server license, those are also counted as being in use.

Miruna, all my users are allocated a license via an AD group i.e. LF FULL License.  I have one admin repository user defined in the Admin console and no users defined in LFDS.

Formerly all my users from the AD group would show up in the user list.

I just had a thought, when we upgraded to 10.3.1 in April, it initially only showed us 100 licenses although our Overview count was correct.  Could there be something to do with our upgrade that is only reflecting our initial license count?  (Even though it's recognizing that we have 180 TOTAL licenses?)

If you go to Applications and look at the registered servers, do any of them show non-zero values in the "full repository named user" column?

Brianna,

Yes, there are 2 and a half pages (246 users shown.) The export is also only taking one page at a time, so I can export each page and compile my list that way, but it used to take all users and dump them to a single list.

Thanks for the additional info --- and I have some good news: we are also releasing a fix to the issue with the export so that you don't have to export multiple pages to get the whole list.

Sorry for the confusion and frustration the bugs with the user listing this past release; we hope that the upcoming release will be a notable improvement.

Hi Brianna,

Was this resolved, and if so which LFDS version will export all users, not just 100 at a time?

Cheers!
