Authenticated Forms Participant License

Hi Team,

We have a LF Avante forms professional installation with  Authenticated Forms Participant License. I can add participant users but cannot assign participant license.

When i clieck yes under License, receiving "The specified participant user was not enabled because there aren't enough available participant licenses" following error.

I have updated the license and replaced in the bin folder/restarted form routing etc.

Is there anything that i am missing or do we need LFDS for Avante ?

I am currently on LF 10.3.1.

Yes, we have participants license and confirmed that we need LFDS.

There is not enough information to tell what the root cause is likely to be without access to activation history and the full purchased products information, so if you need to troubleshoot a specific customer's activation, you may need to open a support case.

It could be that:

  1. You have Participants, not Forms Authenticated Participants, which do require LFDS
  2. You have activated Forms Essentials instead of Forms Professional, which means you'd need to de-activate then use the other activation key
  3. You have multiple instances of Forms Professional, and only one has participants associated with it (and it's not the one you have activated), which means you'd need to de-activate then use the other activation key
  4. The activation was performed before the Forms Authenticated Participants were added. In this case, you'd de-activate and re-activate using the same key
  5. There is an error in the order that requires intervention from our production team

Hi Everyone,

 

Can I use the Employee participants of RIO in Forms? If Yes.

How can i add the Employee Participants License into Forms.

So that i can use it.

Employee Participants require Laserfiche Directory Server to license users. These users can access Forms, as long as Single Sign On through Laserfiche Directory Server has been configured and security is set appropriately.

The Employee Participant license cannot be directly allocated to a specific Forms server to license users within Forms.

Hi Brianna,

 

I already configure the Laserfiche Directory Server to license a user. My problem now, how to allocate license participants in forms, I can't find the user that I configure even I click the synchronized button in a form.

Hi Rafael,

The forms help files cover how to add users to Forms that were created in Directory Server:

 

This includes Windows users, SAML users, and Laserfiche users created in Directory Server.

  • After being added and licensing in Directory Server, the users (or Windows groups for those users) must be added one or more Directory Server groups
  • The Directory Server groups are then added to the list of allowed groups in Forms
  • Users directly belonging to a Directory Server group will be synchronized
  • Users that belong to an AD group within a directory server group will be added to Forms when that user next logs in
