LFDSSTS Dump Files

asked on July 2, 2019 Show version history

Good day,

Where would I be able to disable the log files that are created by LFDSSTS in a windows folder location.

Usually it would not be an issue, however, the logs are filling up the STS server's Harddrive.

Does anyone know how I can disable the creation of the log files?

Regards,

Hi Freddie, which folder location are you referring to? Possibly the audit log folder? (which by default is located in C:\ProgramData\Laserfiche\LFDS\AuditLog)

Hi Chase,

That is correct.

You can turn off audit recording in LFDS which will stop audit data from being logged to the disk, but unfortunately that will also stop audit data from being logged to the database and you will not be able to use audit reporting.

Currently if you want to keep audit reporting but also keep your disk usage down you must make a scheduled Windows task to clear out the audit logging folder by date/event type. We are planning on implementing a feature that will allow LFDS to better handle this use case in the future.

In an upcoming release, we will allow you to choose which events are auditing, allow you to reduce the amount of data produced if you don't need all the information.
