Hello,
What are the steps involved in switch from Authenticated to Perpetual Participant licenses? Does is just involve activating the perpetual license to replace the existing authenticated participant license?
Thanks in Advance

Hi Karim,
The exact steps depend on how you are currently using the Forms Authenticated Participant licenses.
Migrating participants from Forms to LFDS
If you do not have any repository users from LF server synchronized for use in Forms, the migration is fairly simple. If you do have repository users in Forms, you will need to account migration tool.
See here for some tips and the order you should perform steps in: https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/157632/Avante-104-LFDS-and-Forms-Participants#157681
See this post here for more detail on LDAP users migration: https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/160174/Laserfiche-Account-Migration-Tool#160209
Once you have changed over to using LFDS for authentication, see the next section.
Changing licenses for users within LFDS
The rough overview is:
There should be no additional work Forms-side.
Since you have to remove the existing licenses before you renew, there are a couple tips I'd like to share:
If you are using AD sync:
If you are not using AD sync:
If most (or all) of the users have some type of license assigned, you can use the user filter to do the replace:
If you have a large number of unlicensed users, I recommend creating a temporary organization and adding all the Forms Participants (or all the unlicensed users) to this organization so that you can still make use of the filter to relicense users.
Alternatively, you can talk to your regional manager about a temporary license to assist with the transition. This temporary license would require you to renew the master license again after switching out the license types, but avoids the step of setting users to "None".
Also interested in what is involved with transferring from an authenticated participant to a participant. I guess there is a new type just called participant that has read access to the repository.
