PDF import error

asked on June 4, 2019

When a user tries to import a particular PDF file to the Laserfiche Repository it gives the following error: 'The maximum size quota for incoming messages (...)has been exceeded. To increase the quota, use the MaxReceivedMessageSize property on the appropriate binding element'.

We are currently on 10.3 version. This doesn't happen to all the PDF files. And the size of this PDF file is only about 37 MB. My guess is, it is to do with how the PDF is created.

Any insights? Once the option to 'Generate Pages' and 'Generate Text' was unchecked, the user could import the file without issues.

I've never encountered this message with the client, but I have seen it with Connector when trying to pull a list of workflows from the workflow server.

The error appears to stem from HTTP Binding configuration. In the case of Connector, it was a client-side issue and I had to manual configure a max size in the config file.

I'm not sure if your error is coming from the client side or the server side, but it sounds like a similar issue to what I encountered.
