Question

[LFF706-UnableToTriggerRouting]

asked on May 23, 2019

Hello,

On a customer's Forms Server, we have hit an issue where when we submit a form, the User Task just sits and does not trigger.

We have to manually restart the Forms Routing Service for it to go.

When I look in the Forms->App->Admin log, we see a bunch of these errors:

An error occurred while running the process. Please make sure Laserfiche Forms is configured properly. Manually restart Laserfiche Forms Routing Service to ensure that all necessary changes take effect. [LFF706-UnableToTriggerRouting]

We have checked the Forms Config and everything checks out OK.

The inner exception error seems strange as it states the connection to the host failed.  Forms is on it's own server (Is there an issue connecting to the LF Server?):

Inner exception: System.ServiceModel.EndpointNotFoundException
Message: Could not connect to net.tcp://lfs:8168/lfrouting. The connection attempt lasted for a time span of 00:00:21.0166401. TCP error code 10060: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond (customer server IP Address)

Thanks for any pointers,

Jeff Curtis

Hello Jared,

Sorry for the delayed response as our Consultant has been out on Maternity leave.  I will work with him to get all of the details and open a Support Case.

Tom- I will update this Post when I have a resolution from LF Support.

Jeff

Was this resolved? If so, can you please post the resolution?

Sorry for the delayed response. For this instance LF Support had us update LF to 10.4.1.  Once we did this the issue was resolved.

10.4 just changed the listening port to 8172. The problem was that your old listening port 8168 was in use by another service. If another service takes over the Forms Routing Service port, it queues all requests until the situation is resolved.
