How Can I Do a Audit Report For A Single Folder?

asked on May 7, 2019 Show version history

Is there any way to do a Audit report on a single folder & subfolders?

We have a new folder that only has personnel records in it.  Only the HR staff has access & are the only ones that can see the folder.  How can I do an Audit report on just this folder & it's subfolders within it?

If you want to audit a single folder you can create Filter in Audit Trail

First Select the Even Types you want to audit, then add a filter below

SIngle:
Select Columns; Full Path
Select Criteria: Is Equal To
\Human Resources\John Doe\Medical
**This query will return only data for the medical folder**

Multiple Folders

Select Columns: Full Path
Select Criteria: is like
\Human Resoures\John Doe\
**This query will return all documents and folders under John Doe**

Okay.  I might have a problem.  I don't see the Filter option you showed?  See attachment for filter options.

Hi, Paul

You are looking at the Filter Columns options vs. Event Filters

Event Filters are located right below Event Types:

Ya, but that pic above are the only "Event Filters that show up.  But when I go to a saved search I can see a greater drop down list.  I guess I just need to be in it more to figure some things out.  Thanks for your help.

You can only filter on columns that are relevant to the current event filters.  In the screenshot, you can see that he has already selected View Content, which makes the Full Path column available for filtering.
