Question

Save to Repository Suspended

asked on February 25, 2019

Hi Guys

I am on the Laserfiche Forms Professional Version 10.3.1.635, and have been getting suspended Save to Repository tasks in FORMS.

It is a very basic save pdf to the repository folder. It will save one or two documents and then just start suspending the rest of the submissions.

I don't see the view error log option on my monitor screen like always.

I have made sure I have access rights in the Repository.

The strange part is that it works and stops. Please advise if anyone has come across this before or currently.

Thanks

Hello,

Please check below things while you Save to Repository.

1) Proper Permission for Repository.

2) If you Set Template from Form then Please make sure Forms field length and Template Field Length are Same.

Ex. If you Set Template Field Size 40 but  if you enter values in forms greater than 40 then task will be suspended.

3) You can also check Error details from Event Viewer.

Thanks

Hi, all these have been check.

The task saves after retrying the suspended step a few times.

Event viewer pointing towards TimeoutWkHTMLToPDF.

On Forms 10.2 and 10.3, the default timeout setting to generate a PDF from HTML is 1 minute. When the form used in the save to repository task is long or IIS is slow, it is possible to hit this 1 minute timeout, making the task suspend intermittently.

An administrator can add

<add key="HtmltoPdfTimeout" value="600000"/>

in RoutingEngineServiceHost.exe.config to increase this timeout to 10 minutes. Make sure to backup the config file before making any changes.

We've increased the default timeout in Forms 10.4 to 10 minutes, so you shouldn't see the issue there.
