I suppose I should set the stage. I am a brand new user to Laserfiche. We have access to the repository and the fullest extent that I have seen Laserfiche used is as a file cabinet to archive documents. I recently attended a Laserfiche conference and I am now back at my desktop trying to simply access the web version of Laserfiche that I was introduced to at Empower.

Can anyone give me some guidance as to the URL to access this homepage; at this point I would simply like to explore the environment from my desktop:( frustrated

I am not sure what landing/homepage you mean exactly. If it is the one with links into forms, web client, public portal, etc. then that is not a default but a custom form built specific to the entity using it.

Several years ago, Laserfiche started to build and use a custom homepage for their training to bring everything into 1 convenient starting location. But this is a custom built page and not an out of the box option.

The best I can recommend for you would be to download the Empower VM and then use it to show your IT and management the features you saw at empower and would like to see in your environment.

Hi Robert,

We showed off a preview of an upcoming unified homepage at Empower this year, but that is not out yet and will be available later this year. Perhaps that is what you are thinking of?

Your company may or may not have the web client installed/configured. While it is bundled in with the named licensing, it is not always used.

To find out if it is installed, configured and the URL in your environment, you would have to ask your people that manage your Laserfiche system.

can anyone provide a screenshot of the default homepage for the web-client. I think this would help with my description of what I am looking for.

I know these questions/requests are extremely elementary but I certainly appreciate you all entertaining them as I begin my journey with Laserfiche.

It is incredibly frustrating to train on something that you don't have access to, or can't figure out how to access, because of IT control upon returning home.
